Udhampur, 8 September (HS): Councilor Priti Khajuria started the construction work of a tile lane at a cost of ₹4.3 lakh in Bharat Nagar ward number 1.
Earlier, the work of protection wall was done in this area at a cost of ₹4 lakh because without this wall the work of construction of the street could not be done. During rainy season, erosion was happening slowly due to which the area was becoming unsafe, but the councilor first got the protection wall work done at a cost of ₹4 lakhs in the first phase and then started the construction work of tile lane in the second phase.
This was the demand of the people ever since they were living there. Priti Khajuria told that she keeps trying to complete almost every work of her ward. Ever since she became a councilor, her aim is to get as much development work done in the ward during her tenure so that the residents of the ward can enjoy it and get relief.
The residents of the area expressed their gratitude to the councilor and said that they hope that in the future also the councilor will carry out development works with the same speed and will give a new look to the ward.
