Lucknow, 08 Sept : In Uttar Pradesh, the score is INDIA 1, NDA 0. Despite employing all of its power and resources, as well as Hindutva and caste considerations, the Bharatiya Janata Party has lost the Ghosi assembly by-poll election in the state, as the Samajwadi Party takes an unassailable lead. This is not just a boost for the INDIA bloc of Opposition parties, and SP president Akhilesh Yadav in particular, but also a big embarrassment for BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election. The struggle was between the INDIA bloc and the NDA. The Congress did not nominate anyone but backed the SP candidate.
