Adding a new dimension to the already heated political scenario within the Haryana Congress, the Facebook account of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has fallen victim to hacking.
The hacking incident, which occurred late at night, triggered a wave of speculation among the public, as they speculated that Hooda might be gearing up to release some explosive information amid the ongoing controversy.
People thought there would be big news from Hooda
The alteration of Hooda’s Facebook profile, particularly the edited profile photo (changed to the NEWS logo), cast doubt among the public that something significant was in the works and that the former Chief Minister might come up with some explosive information. However, official authorities quickly clarified that Bhupinder Hooda’s profile had indeed been hacked.
Recovery of the page might take 3–4 days
Efforts are currently underway to recover the compromised account, which holds approximately one million followers and one following. According to IT experts, the process of account recovery might take anywhere from three to four days.
In the past, his Twitter account was also subjected to hacking
This incident is not the first time that Hooda has found himself in the crosshairs of hackers. In a earlier instance in January 2022, miscreants compromised his ‘X’ handle (formerly Twitter), changing his Twitter user ID to ‘@iLoveAlbaik’. However, following a complaint, Hooda’s ‘X’ handle was eventually restored.
