The distribution of certified and hybrid seeds for the Kharif 2026 season has commenced in Gautam Buddh Nagar under various schemes of the agriculture department. Wide Range of Seeds Available
Under the general distribution category, seeds of paddy (including basmati), hybrid paddy, hybrid bajra, hybrid jowar, hybrid maize, dhaincha, moong, urad, and arhar are being offered. Additionally, under the minikit seed distribution program, seeds of sanwa, kodo, ragi, composite jowar, moong, urad, arhar, and hybrid bajra will also be provided. All seeds are either certified or hybrid, ensuring better germination and higher yield potential.
Online Booking Process
To simplify access, the seed booking process has been made fully online. Interested farmers can visit the official agriculture department portal at https://agriculture.up.gov.in
and complete their booking by May 10, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered, making timely registration essential.
Mandatory Registration for Farmers
Farmers must be registered on the agriculture department’s portal to book seeds. Those not yet registered are advised to complete the process at the earliest. Registration and booking can be done individually using an Android mobile phone or with the help of nearby public service centers.
Allocation Based on Availability
Seed allocation will be carried out based on availability and departmental guidelines. Farmers are encouraged to book seeds as early as possible according to their requirements to ensure they receive the benefits of the scheme in time.
