An Ayushman Arogya Mandir sub-center was inaugurated in Pooth Kalan, aimed at providing accessible and free primary healthcare services to residents of the area and nearby localities. Social Welfare and SC, ST and OBC Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh was present at the event, along with local residents, public representatives, and government officials.

Following the inauguration, the minister inspected the healthcare facilities available at the center. The OPD rooms, diagnostic services, medicine distribution system, immunization facilities, and maternal and child healthcare units were reviewed. Officials were instructed to ensure that all services function smoothly, transparently, and in accordance with prescribed quality standards.
With the commencement of this Ayushman Arogya Mandir, residents of Pooth Kalan will now have access to essential healthcare services close to their homes. The center will provide general OPD services, basic diagnostic tests, free medicines, immunization programs, maternal and child healthcare, health counseling, and preventive medical care.

The minister stated that the government’s objective is to deliver quality healthcare services to every section of society. Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are especially beneficial for senior citizens, women, children, and economically weaker families. These centers focus not only on treatment but also on prevention, early detection, and health awareness.
He highlighted that the network of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across Delhi is being strengthened on a priority basis. Diagnostic services, wellness activities, and comprehensive healthcare facilities are being expanded in a phased manner to reinforce the primary healthcare system.
Such sub-centers play a crucial role in reducing the burden on major hospitals and ensure that people do not have to travel long distances for minor or routine health issues. Early treatment at the community level also helps prevent complications and reduces healthcare costs for families.

Equipped with modern infrastructure, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Pooth Kalan is expected to serve as a strong healthcare support system for the local community. The government remains committed to ensuring that every citizen has access to affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare near their place of residence.
This initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening public health infrastructure and building a healthier, more resilient society in Delhi.
