Amid growing concerns over LPG supply due to tensions in Gulf countries, residents in Noida have been trying to book gas cylinders in large numbers, leading to congestion on booking helpline numbers. Many consumers reported that booking numbers remained busy or calls failed to connect due to the sudden increase in demand. In response, the district administration has appealed to residents of Gautam Buddh Nagar not to panic and to book LPG cylinders only when required. Officials clarified that there is no shortage of LPG in the district and sufficient stock is available to meet consumer demand. The administration has also shared alternative booking options provided by gas companies so that consumers can complete their bookings without facing technical issues.
Alternative LPG Booking Options Available
According to district officials, consumers can use several methods to book LPG cylinders apart from making phone calls. Gas companies have provided facilities such as WhatsApp booking numbers, online booking platforms and missed call services. These options allow consumers to place booking requests easily without waiting on busy call lines. Authorities explained that when a large number of people attempt to book cylinders simultaneously through phone calls, the booking system becomes overloaded, causing connectivity issues. By using digital booking methods, consumers can avoid delays and complete the process more efficiently. Officials also confirmed that LPG distribution and booking systems are functioning normally across the district.
Administration Warns Against Rumours
The district administration has advised residents not to believe rumors circulating on social media regarding LPG shortages. Officials stated that adequate LPG stock is available and supply operations remain stable. Authorities are regularly inspecting gas warehouses and distribution centers to ensure that consumers receive cylinders on time. Gas agencies have also been instructed to maintain regular supply and promptly address consumer complaints related to booking and delivery.
Officials emphasized that panic booking can create unnecessary pressure on the distribution network and may disrupt the normal supply chain. Therefore residents have been requested to book LPG cylinders only when needed and rely on official information issued by the administration. The district administration has assured citizens that LPG supply in the district remains normal and all necessary steps are being taken to maintain uninterrupted distribution.
