Greater Noida West
Flat buyers of Amrapali Dream Valley in Greater Noida West on Tuesday launched a coordinated Twitter campaign against the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), alleging prolonged delays, poor quality construction, and denial of basic amenities despite years of waiting and full payment. The online protest was aimed at drawing the attention of top authorities to what the buyers described as persistent mismanagement and arbitrariness by NBCC.
Under the campaign, homebuyers tagged the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Supreme Court of India, alleging that even under Supreme Court monitoring, their long-pending grievances have not been resolved.
Allegations of Prolonged Delay and Neglect
The protesting homebuyers claimed that despite waiting for nearly 15 years, they are yet to receive possession of their flats in a satisfactory condition. They alleged that NBCC has failed to meet deadlines repeatedly and has ignored basic infrastructure requirements within the housing complex.
According to the buyers, even the flats that are now being offered lack essential amenities, making them unfit for immediate occupation. They further alleged that serious issues such as water seepage, incomplete towers, and inadequate safety arrangements remain unresolved.
Key Grievances Raised by Homebuyers
In their social media posts, the flat buyers listed several major complaints against NBCC, including:
Non-delivery of flats even after 15 years
Lack of basic amenities in the flats being offered
Severe seepage and water leakage problems
Complete removal of the swimming pool from E-Block
Poor security and safety arrangements despite regular payment of maintenance charges
No tower being fully completed in a systematic manner
Repeated arbitrariness and breach of commitments by NBCC
The buyers alleged that these issues highlight a pattern of negligence and broken promises, which has caused immense financial and mental stress to hundreds of families.
Campaign Gains Momentum on Social Media
The Twitter campaign was initiated from the handle @advbuyersgroup, with thousands of flat buyers and supporters participating by tweeting and retweeting messages against NBCC. The campaign quickly gained traction, reflecting the scale of discontent among affected homebuyers.
Participants used the platform to share photographs, personal experiences, and detailed accounts of the problems they have faced over the years, calling for immediate intervention by authorities.

Demand for Delay Penalty
Homebuyer K. K. Kaushal demanded that NBCC be directed to pay delay penalties to flat buyers. He stated that although buyers paid the full amount on time, they were forced to spend years paying rent due to the non-delivery of homes.
“NBCC collected the entire payment years ago but failed to deliver flats on time. Buyers should be compensated for the prolonged delay and the financial burden of paying rent for years,” Kaushal said in his statement shared online.

Allegations of Pressure Tactics
Another flat buyer, Prem, alleged that NBCC has consistently reneged on its promises and is now pressuring buyers to take possession of flats without completing basic amenities. He claimed that buyers are being forced to accept substandard conditions without addressing long-standing deficiencies in construction and infrastructure.
“NBCC is trying to hand over incomplete flats and is ignoring repeated assurances given earlier,” he said, adding that buyers want quality and safety, not just possession on paper.
Appeal for Accountability
The protesting buyers urged authorities to intervene and ensure accountability. They said that Supreme Court oversight was expected to bring relief, but ground-level conditions have not improved as anticipated. The buyers emphasised that their protest is not political but a plea for justice after years of uncertainty.
They demanded strict monitoring of NBCC’s work, completion of all pending construction with proper amenities, transparency in timelines, and compensation for the prolonged delay.
Growing Homebuyer Anger
The campaign reflects growing frustration among Amrapali Dream Valley buyers, many of whom invested their life savings in the project with hopes of owning a home. Instead, they allege they have faced years of delays, additional expenses, and emotional distress.
As the online protest continues, homebuyers say they will intensify their efforts until concrete action is taken. They hope that intervention from higher authorities will finally lead to timely completion of the project and justice for the affected families.
