AMG, supported by the founders of Greenko Group and a leading energy and technology platform, has partnered with Uttar Pradesh government’s investment promotion agency Invest UP to set up a 1 GW high-performance compute (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) hub in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region. The project is estimated to attract approximately USD 25 billion in investment and will be developed in phases.
Initial operations are expected to begin by 2028, with full capacity of 1 GW achieved by 2030. The hub will host nearly 500,000 state-of-the-art high-performance chipsets and operate on 24×7 carbon-free energy. The project will generate thousands of high-skilled jobs, attract significant foreign direct investment (FDI), and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a major AI and digital infrastructure hub in India.
Under the concept of “democratizing AI,” AMG AI Labs is developing the full AI value chain, from on-demand electronics to intelligent tokens. The hub will address the growing demand for AI and HPC solutions among global hyperscalers, research institutions, enterprises, and India’s sovereign AI initiatives. The initiative highlights AMG Group’s commitment to sustainable, carbon-neutral, and intelligent economy development.
The facility will provide Indian developers with extensive access to advanced chipsets, accelerating the creation of AI solutions domestically and globally. Powered by wind, solar, and pumped-storage energy, the hub will feature strategic location advantages, world-class connectivity, and advanced AI capabilities.
YEIDA has issued Letters of Intent (LOI) for 114 acres in Sector 28 and 175 acres in Sector 8D. The project will create a robust local ecosystem for hardware manufacturing, software development, and specialized cooling technologies, generating thousands of high-skilled jobs and boosting AI research and development in India.
AMG, initiated by Greenko Group founders, is a leading renewable energy company in India, developing 50 GW of energy infrastructure across more than 20 states. It is also building the world’s first interconnected energy storage system with 100 GWh capacity. AMG is advancing net-zero products including green ammonia, green aluminium, e-methanol, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuels.
This project represents a significant milestone in India’s AI and digital future, positioning Uttar Pradesh at the center of the global AI ecosystem.
