Gautam Budh Nagar | February 12, 2026
The District Employment Office, Gautam Budh Nagar, with support from the Uttar Pradesh government’s employment mission, organised an extensive career counselling session at Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions under Rozgar Mahotsav 2026. The initiative aimed to prepare unemployed youth for the employment fair scheduled on February 25, 2026 and connect them with suitable job opportunities across multiple sectors.

During the session, students were informed about the registration process, selection procedures, and expectations of participating companies. Officials highlighted that Rozgar Mahotsav is not merely a recruitment drive but a platform to align youth skills with industry requirements and promote self-reliance.
Addressing the participants, Khushboo Singh emphasised that academic qualifications alone are no longer sufficient in today’s competitive job market. Practical exposure, innovation, leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills play a crucial role in employability. She encouraged students to work on communication skills alongside technical expertise.
Speaking on corporate expectations, Vivo Mobile India representative Takshkumar highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork, and professional ethics. He noted that companies prefer candidates who understand organisational culture and demonstrate adaptability and commitment.

Focusing on emerging digital careers, IIT Roorkee coordinator Ritesh Goyal shared insights on opportunities in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity. He urged students to continuously upgrade their skills to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Discussing global employment prospects, BSL Consulting founder Arun Jurel stressed the importance of networking, positive mindset, and lifelong learning. He stated that global exposure and industry-aligned skills can significantly enhance career growth.
From the host institution, Sunil Jindal said the institute focuses on making students industry-ready rather than limiting education to academics. Poornima Shamni described the collaboration with the District Employment Office as a meaningful step towards structured career guidance.

District Employment Officer Manisha Atri, academic advisors, faculty members, placement officials, and a large number of students attended the programme.
The session concluded with optimism that Rozgar Mahotsav 2026 will emerge as a strong platform for employment generation, skill development, and youth empowerment across Gautam Budh Nagar.
