The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has issued a Letter of Intent (LoI) to Spark Minda Toyodenso India Private Limited for a 7-acre industrial plot in Sector 8D. The allotment marks another step in the authority’s efforts to attract major industrial investments to the Yamuna Expressway region.
The Letter of Intent was handed over by Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh and Additional Chief Executive Officer Shailendra Kumar Bhatia to Ashok Das, Executive Director of the company, and Piyush Goyal. Amit Jalan, Head of Corporate Affairs at Minda Group, was also present on the occasion.
₹220 Crore Investment Planned for Auto Components Manufacturing
Under the proposed project, Spark Minda Toyodenso India Private Limited will establish a manufacturing facility for automotive components. The company plans to produce approximately 2 million units of switches, sensors, and related auto switch systems at the upcoming facility.
The project involves an estimated investment of around ₹220 crore, which is expected to significantly strengthen the industrial ecosystem of the Yamuna Expressway region.
Officials said the new facility will generate several direct and indirect employment opportunities once operations begin.
Incentives Under Uttar Pradesh Investment Promotion Policy
According to the authority, the company has been granted support under the Uttar Pradesh government’s Investment Promotion Policy. As the organization is associated with a group that is included among Fortune 500 companies, it has been provided with a supportive subsidy as part of the policy’s provisions aimed at encouraging large-scale industrial investments in the state.
The incentive is intended to attract globally recognized companies to establish manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh and contribute to economic development.

Spark Minda Toyodenso India Private Limited is part of the Spark Minda Group, whose flagship company, Minda Corporation Limited, operates extensively in the automotive component sector.
The group currently runs 27 manufacturing facilities across several countries, including India, Vietnam, Italy, Japan, and Indonesia. These facilities support the company’s operations in producing a wide range of advanced automotive and electronic components.

Officials from YEIDA said that attracting large manufacturing investments remains a key priority for the authority as it continues to develop the Yamuna Expressway area as a major industrial hub.
The new project by Spark Minda Toyodenso India is expected to contribute to the region’s growing automotive and electronics manufacturing ecosystem. With increasing industrial activity, the area is gradually emerging as an important destination for domestic and international investors.
The development is also expected to complement the upcoming Noida International Airport project and other infrastructure initiatives in the region, which aim to strengthen connectivity and create a strong industrial base.
Authorities believe that such investments will not only accelerate industrial growth but also enhance employment opportunities and economic development in the Yamuna Expressway corridor.
