Yamuna Expressway, Uttar Pradesh, December 17, 2025:
Wonderland Foods, one of India’s leading premium nuts and dry fruits brands, has taken a significant step to expand its operations in Uttar Pradesh by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government. Known for promoting healthy snacking with quality, authenticity, and innovation, the brand aims to make nutritious diets accessible and appealing to a wide audience.
Under the agreement, a greenfield nuts and dry fruits processing unit will be established in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region with an investment of approximately ₹240 crore. The project will receive partial funding through direct foreign investment (FDI) of ₹140 crore from Asha Ventures Fund-I and British International Investment PLC, a UK government undertaking.
On December 17, 2025, YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh handed over a Letter of Intent for 30,000 square meters of industrial land in Sector 8D to Wonderland Foods Chairman Rakesh Kumar Gupta. The event was attended by ACEO Shailendra Bhatia and Rajesh Kumar. The company expects to commence production within 24 months of obtaining possession of the land.
According to founder Rakesh Kumar Gupta, the project is expected to generate employment for over 750 women from underprivileged sections of society. Once fully operational, the unit is projected to contribute more than ₹800 crore in annual revenue.
This initiative reflects Wonderland Foods’ commitment to expanding sustainable and high-quality food processing infrastructure while supporting socio-economic development in the region. The project combines strategic investment, foreign collaboration, and employment generation, marking a major milestone for the brand and the industrial development of the Yamuna Expressway corridor.
The establishment of this processing unit is expected to strengthen the domestic nuts and dry fruits sector, create local employment opportunities, and promote healthy eating habits across India. The collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government highlights the administration’s focus on attracting investments that generate both economic growth and social impact.
With production set to begin within two years, Wonderland Foods’ new unit at YEIDA is poised to become a significant contributor to the state’s industrial and food processing landscape, reinforcing the brand’s vision of making healthy snacking widely accessible while creating meaningful employment opportunities.
