Noida, April 13, 2026:
A large-scale protest by factory workers in Noida demanding a salary hike turned violent, leading to widespread damage across industrial areas and raising serious concerns about law and order. The unrest reportedly affected more than 50 factories, where incidents of stone-pelting, vandalism, and arson were witnessed.
According to initial reports, the agitation intensified rapidly as workers, frustrated over unresolved wage-related demands, resorted to aggressive actions. Groups of protesting workers allegedly carried out stone-pelting inside factory premises, causing damage to infrastructure, machinery, and property. Several factories reported forced entry by mobs, resulting in panic among management staff and employees.
The violence extended beyond factory premises, with more than 150 vehicles reportedly damaged during the protests. Eyewitness accounts suggest that vehicles parked within and around industrial units were targeted, with many being vandalized and some completely destroyed. In addition, incidents of arson were reported at nearly 50 different locations, where vehicles and other property were set on fire, further escalating the situation.
The scale of the violence indicates a significant breakdown of order during the protest, with multiple locations being affected simultaneously. The incidents not only disrupted industrial operations but also created fear among local residents and workers in nearby areas.
Authorities were promptly alerted as the situation deteriorated. Police teams and local administration officials were deployed to the affected areas to bring the situation under control. Efforts were made to disperse the تجمع of protesting workers and prevent further damage. Security has since been tightened in key industrial zones to avoid any recurrence of violence.
Preliminary information suggests that the protest was driven by demands for higher wages and improved working conditions. However, the demonstration took a destructive turn, leading to extensive losses and disruption of normal activities. Officials are currently assessing the total damage caused to both private and public property.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated, and authorities are working to identify those involved in the violence. Strict action is expected against individuals found responsible for vandalism, arson, and destruction of property.
The incident highlights the urgent need for dialogue between workers, factory management, and authorities to address grievances before they escalate into such large-scale disturbances. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies remain on alert to ensure stability in the region.
