Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 9, 2026: A comprehensive review meeting was held at the Collectorate office to accelerate the implementation of selected proposals under the Viksit Uttar Pradesh Samarth Uttar Pradesh @2047 campaign. The meeting, chaired by the District Magistrate, brought together officials from multiple departments to finalize actionable strategies for three key development sectors identified for the district.
The campaign, aimed at transforming Uttar Pradesh into a developed and self-reliant state by 2047, has shortlisted sector-specific proposals from districts across the state. For Gautam Buddh Nagar, three major focus areas have been approved, including cultural tourism and service exchange programs, IT and emerging technologies, and infrastructure development encompassing transport, civil aviation, public works, and energy. These sectors have been recognized for their strong potential to drive economic growth, employment generation, and sustainable development.

Strategic Focus on High-Impact Development Sectors
During the meeting, the District Magistrate emphasized that the selected sectors present immense opportunities for balanced and long-term growth. Cultural tourism has the potential to enhance the district’s identity while boosting local livelihoods. IT and emerging technologies can position the region as a hub for innovation and digital advancement, while infrastructure development will serve as the backbone for economic expansion and connectivity.
Officials were instructed to adopt a result-oriented approach in designing and executing projects under each sector. The focus remains on aligning district-level initiatives with broader state and national development goals. The administration highlighted that effective planning and timely implementation will be crucial in translating these proposals into measurable outcomes.
Innovative Blend of Tourism and Social Responsibility
One of the most notable discussions in the meeting revolved around the introduction of a unique cultural tourism and service exchange program. The District Magistrate directed officials to develop a structured plan that allows tourists to actively participate in social service activities during their visits. This initiative seeks to redefine tourism by integrating meaningful community engagement into travel experiences.
Under this concept, visitors, both domestic and international, will be encouraged to dedicate a portion of their travel time to activities such as teaching children in rural areas, contributing to orphanages and old age homes, participating in cleanliness drives at heritage sites, assisting local artisans, or engaging in environmental initiatives like tree plantation. This approach is expected to create a deeper connection between tourists and local communities while promoting responsible tourism practices.

Launch of “Serve and See India” Digital Platform
To operationalize this initiative, the administration has proposed the development of an online platform titled “Serve and See India.” This platform will act as a bridge between tourists and community service opportunities, enabling visitors to select activities based on their travel destinations and interests.
The platform is expected to integrate local non-governmental organizations and cultural institutions, ensuring proper coordination and guidance for participants. By providing a structured interface, the initiative aims to ensure that community engagement activities are organized, impactful, and beneficial for all stakeholders involved.
Officials were directed to prepare a detailed roadmap for the platform’s development, including its technical framework, operational model, and stakeholder participation. The platform is expected to play a crucial role in promoting India’s cultural values and spirit of service on a global stage.
Driving Responsible Tourism and Local Economic Growth
The proposed initiatives are expected to significantly boost responsible tourism while generating economic and social benefits at the grassroots level. By encouraging tourists to contribute to community development, the district aims to create a sustainable tourism ecosystem that benefits both visitors and residents.
The integration of service activities into tourism is also expected to enhance the overall travel experience, making it more meaningful and impactful. At the same time, it will provide local communities with additional support, resources, and opportunities for growth. The initiative aligns with the broader vision of showcasing India’s cultural ethos and hospitality while ensuring inclusive development.
Time-Bound Execution and Inter-Departmental Coordination
The District Magistrate directed all concerned departments to prepare detailed and outcome-driven action plans for each of the approved sectors. Emphasis was placed on setting clear timelines, defining responsibilities, and ensuring regular monitoring of progress.
Officials were instructed to maintain close coordination to avoid delays and ensure seamless execution of projects. The administration highlighted the importance of accountability and periodic reviews to track the implementation process and address challenges promptly.
The meeting witnessed participation from key officials, including Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Priyanka, Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition) Bachchu Singh, District Development Officer Shiv Pratap Parmesh, District Basic Education Officer Rahul Pawar, District Tourism Officer Suresh Rawat, OSD Greater Noida N K Singh, along with other departmental representatives.
The review meeting marked a significant step toward translating the vision of Viksit Uttar Pradesh 2047 into actionable outcomes at the district level, with a strong emphasis on innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable growth.
