Lucknow, 14 Sept : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath observed a simulated drill at the National Security Guard’s (NSG) ‘Gandiv-5’ program in Lucknow on Thursday.
As part of the Gandhiv-5 program, the chief minister observed the NSG commandos conduct a simulated drill in the UP Legislative Assembly.
UP Police, NSG Conduct Joint ‘Gandiv-5’ Exercise to Improve Preparedness for Terror Attacks
As part of the Yogi government’s ongoing efforts to improve law and order and prevent terrorist incidents in Uttar Pradesh, the UP Police and the National Security Guard (NSG) conducted a joint ‘Gandiv-5’ exercise on Wednesday to improve its preparedness to deal with terror attacks effectively. The simulated drill resumed on Thursday.
It is worth noting that the UP Police has been conducting mock exercises on the orders of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to assess the force’s readiness to cope with law and order problems in the state. During the exercise, the state administration, several UP Police units, and the NSG performed fake counter-terrorism drills.
These exercises were held in numerous prominent places and key enterprises around Lucknow. Prashant Kumar, Special DG, Law and Order, also issued a public advise on the occasion, advising people to be patient and to avoid spreading or giving heed to rumors.
Kumar also advised people to follow any recommendations set by the police administration in order for the simulated exercises to go well.
