Gonda, 13 Sept : Two Nepalese pilgrims were killed and nine others were injured when their tempo toppled on the Gonda-Ayodhya Highway in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police said. The disaster happened late Tuesday while Nepalese pilgrims were returning to Gonda after paying their respects at Ayodhya. According to Additional Superintendent of Police Shivraj, they were meant to return to Nepal from Gonda. While attempting to overtake a truck, the tempo shifted. Eleven individuals were injured in the collision and sent to a hospital, where Basudev Godia, 55, and Ramraj Kurmi, 50, were confirmed dead, he added. The nine others are said to be in good health. According to the police, the bodies have been transferred for postmortem examination.
