A property dealer was shot dead in broad daylight on Friday in Greater Noida’s Badalpur area. The incident took place near the Peripheral Bridge in Bambawad village, where unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim, identified as Mahipal (45), was a resident of Bambawad village and had been working as a property dealer for several years. He ran a property office in the locality.
According to police, the attack occurred around 3 p.m. Mahipal sustained critical gunshot injuries and collapsed on the road. Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Upon receiving information, police and forensic teams reached the site, collected evidence, and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Investigators are currently probing all possible angles behind the murder, though the motive remains unclear.
Additional DCP (Central Noida) Shaivya Goel stated that a call was received on Dial 112 regarding an unidentified injured man. Police arrived promptly and transported the victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. She added that CCTV footage and technical evidence are being examined, and multiple police teams have been deployed to trace the culprits. Authorities assured that the case will be solved soon and the accused will be arrested.
