The National Lok Adalat is being organised with the objective of providing affordable, accessible, and timely justice to litigants while reducing the burden of pending cases in courts. Officials explained that National Lok Adalats play an important role in alternative dispute resolution by encouraging amicable settlements between parties. Such platforms help save both time and legal expenses for litigants while ensuring faster disposal of cases.
The meeting was attended by several senior judicial officers, including Somprabha Mishra, Additional District Judge and Nodal Officer for National Lok Adalat, Shivani Rawat, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Suresh Chandra from the Special Court for Section 138 NI Act matters, Munawwar Jahan from Additional Court No. 1, Pawan Pratap Singh from Additional Court No. 2, and Indira Singh from Additional Court No. 3.

Authorities expressed confidence that the coordinated efforts of judicial officers and legal services authorities would help ensure successful organisation of the National Lok Adalat and facilitate disposal of a large number of pending cheque bounce cases.
The initiative reflects the judiciary’s continued commitment toward promoting speedy justice and strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for the benefit of the public.
