Infrastructure development in Noida is set to receive another boost as authorities move forward with the construction of a long-pending 75-meter-wide road between Sector 149 and Sector 150. The project, estimated to cost around ₹78 lakh, has now entered the tender stage, signaling that construction work will soon begin.
The road project had remained incomplete for a long time due to issues related to land acquisition. Approximately 300 meters of the road stretch was left unfinished because the required land had not been acquired from local farmers. However, officials have now confirmed that the process of obtaining land through mutual agreement with the farmers has nearly been completed.
The project is being executed by the Noida Authority, which has initiated the tender process to select a contractor for the construction work. Once the formalities are completed, the construction is expected to begin soon.
Officials stated that completing this road is important for improving connectivity in the rapidly developing sectors along the Noida Expressway region. Both Sector 149 and Sector 150 have witnessed significant residential and commercial development in recent years, and improved road connectivity is essential to support this growth.
Currently, due to the incomplete stretch of the road, commuters are forced to take longer alternative routes to travel between the two sectors. This leads to increased travel time and traffic congestion on nearby roads. Once the project is completed, residents and commuters will have a direct route connecting the two sectors.
Authorities believe the new road will significantly ease traffic movement and reduce pressure on surrounding routes. It will also make travel more convenient for residents living in nearby housing societies, employees commuting to offices, and visitors traveling through the area.
In addition, improved connectivity between the sectors is expected to support further urban development. Better road networks often encourage new residential and commercial investments, contributing to the overall growth of the city.
Officials from the authority have stated that the project will be completed within the planned timeline once the contractor is finalized through the tender process. The authority has emphasized its commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure across the city.
Local residents have welcomed the move, saying that the incomplete road had caused inconvenience for a long time. They believe the completion of the road will reduce travel difficulties and make daily commuting smoother.
Urban planning experts also point out that strong road infrastructure plays a crucial role in the development of expanding cities like Noida. Efficient road connectivity helps improve mobility, supports economic activity, and enhances the quality of life for residents.
With the tender process now underway, the long-awaited completion of the 75-meter-wide road between Sector 149 and Sector 150 is expected to bring noticeable improvement in traffic flow and connectivity in the area.
