A delegation from the Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Associations (Phonerwa) met newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police Saad Mian Khan at his office in Sector-6, Noida, to discuss issues related to law and order and the overall security situation in the city. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between the police administration and resident welfare associations to improve safety across Noida’s residential sectors.

During the interaction, Phonerwa representatives highlighted the importance of regular communication between local residents and police authorities. Phonerwa President Yogendra Sharma proposed that periodic meetings be organized between Resident Welfare Association (RWA) representatives and police officials so that residents can directly share concerns related to security and public safety. According to him, regular dialogue between RWAs and the police would help in building stronger cooperation and ensuring quicker responses to local issues.

Sharma emphasized that Noida has a large number of residential sectors with active RWA bodies, and effective coordination between these associations and law enforcement agencies can significantly improve monitoring and reporting of local problems. He said such interactions would create a platform where residents could share their concerns related to crime prevention, traffic management and neighborhood security.

Phonerwa General Secretary K.K. Jain also stressed the importance of strengthening coordination between RWAs and the police. He stated that dialogue-based initiatives have previously proved helpful in maintaining law and order in residential areas. According to Jain, when residents and police authorities remain in regular contact, it becomes easier to address security-related concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

Jain noted that RWAs often serve as the first point of contact for residents in their respective sectors. By maintaining an active channel of communication with the police, RWAs can help relay important information about suspicious activities, local disputes or other concerns that may affect the safety of residents. He added that such cooperation can contribute to a more organized approach to community policing in the city.

Responding to the suggestions presented by the delegation, DCP Saad Mian Khan assured the representatives that the police department would soon organize meetings with RWA office-bearers and the concerned police officials. He said the police administration recognizes the importance of community participation in maintaining law and order and is committed to strengthening its coordination with residents’ associations across Noida.

Khan also suggested that while raising issues related to law and order, RWA representatives should present practical suggestions for addressing those concerns. According to him, constructive suggestions from residents can help the police department identify effective solutions and develop long-term strategies to deal with recurring problems.

The DCP emphasized that cooperation between citizens and law enforcement agencies plays a vital role in ensuring public safety in rapidly growing urban areas like Noida. He stated that the police department is keen to work closely with RWAs in order to improve security measures and enhance communication channels between residents and authorities.

The meeting also highlighted the broader role of community engagement in strengthening the law and order framework of the city. With Noida continuing to expand as a major urban and residential hub in the National Capital Region, coordination between civic groups and law enforcement agencies has become increasingly important for addressing emerging challenges related to urban security.

Phonerwa representatives expressed confidence that regular interaction with police officials would help in resolving local concerns more efficiently and would contribute to a safer environment for residents across the city’s sectors. They also reiterated their willingness to cooperate with the police in implementing community-based safety initiatives.

Several members of the Phonerwa delegation were present during the meeting. Those attending included Yogendra Sharma, K.K. Jain, Devendra Singh Chauhan, Advocate Laat Sahab Lohia, Koshinder Yadav, Satnarayan Goyal, Vinod Sharma and Harsh Mohan Jagmola, along with other members of the organization.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing on the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between the police administration and resident welfare associations. The proposed meetings between RWAs and police officials are expected to serve as a platform for discussing security concerns and identifying practical solutions aimed at strengthening law and order across Noida.
