Focus on Door-to-Door Waste Collection
During the review, strict directions were issued to ensure efficient door-to-door garbage collection across all sectors and villages in Noida. Officials were instructed to deploy collection vehicles in every area, particularly in rural pockets, to ensure that no locality is left uncovered. The Authority emphasized the need for systematic waste collection to maintain cleanliness standards and prevent health hazards.
In addition, all work circles were directed to ensure regular cleaning of roads, drains and public spaces within their respective jurisdictions. The aim is to improve overall sanitation and maintain hygienic conditions throughout the city.
Beautification of Cleared Garbage Sites
The meeting also addressed the issue of defunct or cleared garbage dumping sites. Officials were instructed to expedite beautification and maintenance work at these locations. Where space permits, the Authority has suggested converting such sites into community-friendly spaces by installing swings for children, benches, or even open gyms.
This initiative is aimed at not only eliminating unhygienic dumping grounds but also creating recreational spaces for residents, thereby enhancing the urban environment.
Maintenance of Toilets and Urinals
A strict timeline of 15 days was set for the maintenance and repair of public toilets and urinals across all work circles. Authorities were directed to ensure that all such facilities are fully functional and equipped with essential amenities, including water supply, electricity, and soap.
The operational timing for these public facilities has been fixed from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The directive aims to improve accessibility and hygiene standards for public sanitation infrastructure across the city.
Drainage Repairs Before Monsoon
With the monsoon season approaching, the Authority stressed the urgent need to complete repair works of drains and culverts. Officials were instructed to ensure that all necessary repairs are carried out before the onset of rains to prevent waterlogging on roads.
The focus is on strengthening drainage systems to ensure smooth flow of rainwater and avoid disruptions in daily life during the monsoon season.
Action Against Encroachment
The Authority also directed all work circles to maintain continuous vigilance against encroachments. Strict enforcement measures, including sealing actions, were ordered against unauthorized occupations.
Officials were asked to take proactive steps to identify and remove encroachments in order to maintain planned urban development and ensure smooth functioning of public spaces.
Review of Tenders and Project Execution
The meeting included a detailed review of the current status of tenders and estimates related to development and maintenance works. Officials were instructed to complete all necessary formalities and ensure that pending works across villages, sectors and major roads are executed within the stipulated timelines.
The Authority emphasized expediting project approvals and implementation to ensure that infrastructure development keeps pace with the city’s growing needs.
