(Strengthening of Traffic Management on MP-3 Road)

On 16 January 2026, the Chief Executive Officer conducted an inspection of Noida Master Plan Road No.-3 (MP-3 Road) with the objective of reviewing and strengthening traffic management arrangements on this important corridor. During the inspection, the General Manager (Civil) A.K. Arora, Deputy General Manager (Civil) Vijay Rawal, along with engineers from Work Circles-5 and 6, were present.
MP-3 Road is one of the major arterial roads of Noida and plays a crucial role in the daily movement of commuters and commercial traffic. Over time, traffic density on this route has been increasing steadily. During peak hours, the situation has become more challenging, with frequent and heavy traffic congestion being observed at several locations along the corridor. Keeping this situation in view, the Chief Executive Officer carried out a detailed site inspection of the entire stretch of MP-3 Road.
During the inspection, various locations along the road were reviewed to assess existing traffic flow, bottlenecks, and operational challenges faced by commuters. The Chief Executive Officer emphasized the need for smooth and uninterrupted movement of vehicles on MP-3 Road and directed the concerned departments to undertake a comprehensive and detailed survey of the entire corridor.
The inspection team was instructed to conduct an in-depth assessment of traffic movement patterns, peak-hour congestion points, and road geometry. In addition, a detailed survey of all underground and overhead services laid along MP-3 Road was also ordered. This includes utilities such as water pipelines, sewer lines, electrical cables, communication lines, and other service infrastructure that may have an impact on future traffic management or road improvement works.
The Chief Executive Officer directed that the complete survey and assessment report be prepared and submitted within 10 days. The report is expected to provide a clear picture of the existing conditions, identify critical congestion zones, and suggest practical measures to ensure smoother traffic operations on the MP-3 corridor.
It was further directed that, after submission of the report, necessary follow-up action should be initiated promptly on the basis of the findings and recommendations. These actions will focus on improving traffic flow, reducing congestion during peak hours, and enhancing overall road safety for commuters. The objective is to implement effective traffic management solutions that are sustainable and aligned with the growing transportation needs of Noida.
