In line with the directives of the Union Public Service Commission, preparations are underway for the successful conduct of NDA/NA (I) and CDS (I) Examination 2026, scheduled to be held on April 12 across eight examination centres in the district. To review and strengthen these preparations, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Atul Kumar chaired a key meeting at the Collectorate auditorium with sector magistrates, local inspecting officers, and centre superintendents.
The examinations will be conducted at a total of eight centres, with five centres designated for NDA/NA (I) and three centres for CDS (I). The NDA/NA examination will be held in two shifts, while the CDS examination will be conducted in three shifts. The district administration is making comprehensive arrangements to ensure that the examinations are conducted smoothly, peacefully, and without any malpractice.
Strict Instructions for Exam Preparedness
During the meeting, the Additional District Magistrate directed all concerned officials to complete their preparations in accordance with the standards set by the Union Public Service Commission. He emphasized that every aspect of exam management, including logistics, security, and monitoring, must be thoroughly reviewed and finalized before the examination day.
He highlighted that conducting examinations in a fair and cheating-free manner requires strong coordination between the district administration and the police department. All officials were instructed to work in close coordination and ensure that their responsibilities are executed effectively. They were also directed to reach their respective duty locations on time and perform their duties with full accountability.
Zero Tolerance for Negligence
The administration made it clear that any negligence in duty would not be tolerated. The Additional District Magistrate warned that strict action would be taken against any official found responsible for lapses during the examination process. This directive reflects the administration’s commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of competitive examinations conducted in the district.
Sector magistrates, local inspecting officers, and centre superintendents were instructed to conduct thorough inspections of their respective examination centres. They were asked to ensure that all basic facilities are available and functioning properly.
Focus on CCTV Monitoring and Infrastructure
Special emphasis was laid on the proper functioning of CCTV cameras at all examination centres. Officials were directed to verify that surveillance systems are operational and cover all critical areas within the centres. In case of any malfunction or deficiency in basic facilities or CCTV systems, immediate corrective action must be taken to ensure uninterrupted monitoring during the examination.
The presence of adequate infrastructure, including seating arrangements, lighting, and security systems, was also stressed to provide a conducive environment for candidates appearing in the examination.
Enhanced Security Measures to Prevent Malpractice
The police department was instructed to implement strict security measures, particularly at the entry points of examination centres. Officials were directed to ensure that no candidate is allowed to carry electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smart devices, or any other unauthorized items inside the examination premises.
Special attention will be given to frisking and verification processes at entry gates to prevent any attempt at cheating. These measures are aimed at ensuring that the examinations are conducted strictly as per UPSC guidelines and remain completely fair and transparent.
Guidelines Shared by UPSC Inspecting Officer
During the meeting, the inspecting officer from the Union Public Service Commission provided detailed guidance to all officials present. He explained the standard procedures and protocols that must be followed to conduct the examinations in accordance with prescribed norms.
These instructions covered various aspects of exam administration, including candidate verification, distribution of question papers, handling of answer sheets, and maintenance of discipline within examination centres.
Coordinated Efforts for Smooth Conduct
The meeting was conducted by District Inspector of Schools Rajesh Kumar Singh, who provided details about the examination schedule and centre allocation. He reiterated that all arrangements are being made to ensure the smooth conduct of both NDA and CDS examinations across the district.
The meeting was attended by all sector magistrates, local inspecting officers, centre superintendents, and officials from the district and police administration. Their collective presence ensured that all aspects of preparation were reviewed comprehensively and necessary instructions were communicated clearly.
