Noida, February 2026
The Noida Authority has undertaken a major restructuring of its administrative framework. The primary aim of this change is to eliminate the tendency of shifting responsibility between departments and to strengthen accountability. Responsibilities of the Public Health Department and Noida Traffic Cell (NTC) have now been assigned to zonal work circles.
Senior officials of the authority stated that under this change, the circle senior manager has been entrusted with overseeing Public Health and NTC. This officer will now be directly accountable to the GM-level authority. Officials said this move will increase transparency in departmental operations and reduce any chance of negligence or avoidance of responsibility.
The administrative change aims to ensure that all departments are fully responsible for their tasks. It will ensure timely execution of plans and projects, and in case of any obstacles, the responsible officers can be held accountable immediately.
For Public Health, the circle senior manager will now supervise sanitation, municipal cleanliness, water supply, and health-related activities. Similarly, responsibilities of the NTC include traffic management, road safety, parking control, and other traffic-related tasks.
Authorities emphasized that this administrative change is specifically designed to ensure GM-level accountability. This will make it clear that in case of any lapse in a particular area, the directly responsible officer will be answerable.
Residents and departmental staff have welcomed the move. They believe it will enhance work efficiency, instill responsibility among officers, and support future development plans and urban management.
Experts note that such administrative reshuffles in large authorities improve transparency and accountability. Clear responsibilities and direct supervision enable departments to function more efficiently while providing better services to citizens.
The authority also stated that circle work divisions will receive necessary resources, technical assistance, and training. This will help officers perform efficiently and achieve timely results.
Regular reviews of departmental performance will be conducted after this reshuffle. Meetings will assess how effectively each officer is fulfilling their responsibilities and any necessary improvements will be made.
It is expected that this administrative reshuffle will make all departments and zonal circles of Noida Authority more organized, accountable, and citizen-focused.
