Greater Noida, April 26, 2026
The newly installed lights cover parks located in Sectors P-3, Swarn Nagri, Pi-1, Sector-36, and Sector-37. The inauguration was carried out by Dhirendra Singh in the presence of authority officials and local residents.

Wide Coverage Across Residential Sectors
According to officials, the Electrical Engineering Division-2 of the authority executed the installation work. Sector-36 and Sector-37 each received six highmast lights across their parks, while Swarn Nagri was equipped with eight such lights. Additionally, two parks in Sector Pi-1 were also covered under the project.
Apart from parks, LED highmast lights have been installed at several other strategic public locations, including Sector P-3, builder areas, Omicron-1 Park along the 130-meter road, near LG Society, at the gate of Honda CL Company, and near a temple in Sector P-3.
Investment and Infrastructure Upgrade
The project has been completed at an estimated cost of approximately ₹1.90 crore. Officials stated that the initiative aims to replace outdated sodium lighting systems, which provided inadequate illumination in many parks and public areas.
Residents had earlier raised concerns about poor lighting conditions, especially during evening hours, which affected safety and usability of these spaces. The installation of LED highmast lights is expected to significantly improve brightness and energy efficiency.
Expansion Plan Across the City
Authorities highlighted that similar installations have already been completed in sectors such as Delta, Alpha, Zeta, Beta, and Gamma. The ongoing initiative is part of a larger plan to upgrade lighting infrastructure across Greater Noida.
Under the direction of CEO NG Ravi Kumar, efforts are being made to ensure that all parks and public spaces are equipped with modern LED lighting systems. The move aligns with broader urban development goals focusing on sustainability and citizen convenience.
Officials Emphasize Safety and Efficiency
Officials noted that LED highmast lights not only enhance visibility but also contribute to energy savings and reduced maintenance costs. The authority plans to continue replacing sodium lights in other areas to ensure uniform lighting standards across the city.
ACEO Prerna Singh confirmed that the installation work will continue in remaining sectors and public locations where traditional lighting systems are still in use.
Senior Manager Saurabh Bhardwaj, Manager Vipin Rai, and local residents were also present during the inauguration ceremony, which was marked by appreciation for the authority’s efforts to improve civic amenities.
The initiative is expected to make parks more accessible and safer for residents, especially during early morning and evening hours, while also contributing to the overall development of Greater Noida as a modern urban hub.
