In a bid to strengthen diplomatic relations and address existing challenges, Iran’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Reza Ameri, engaged in constructive discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday evening. The meeting, aimed at promoting ties between the two neighboring nations, underscored a shared commitment to fostering cooperation and overcoming obstacles hindering bilateral relations.
Ambassador Ameri commenced the meeting by presenting a comprehensive report on the status of his mission and the notable progress in Tehran-Abu Dhabi relations. Highlighting the uptick in trade exchanges between Iran and the UAE over the past year, the envoy also proposed strategies to further enhance cooperation across various sectors.
Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian reaffirmed Iran’s steadfast policy of prioritizing strong relations with its neighbors, emphasizing Tehran’s unwavering determination to deepen ties with Abu Dhabi.
Stressing the importance of exchanging high-level delegations between the two countries, Amirabdollahian underscored Iran’s readiness to bolster political and economic collaboration with the UAE within the framework of mutual interests.
