Students of the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme at IMS Noida delivered an outstanding performance at the all-India grand finale of the Exclusive Hackathon by GeeksforGeeks Classroom, securing both first and second positions. The event was held in Sector-63, Noida, and witnessed participation from 50 teams representing reputed institutions from Delhi-NCR and across the country.

Challenging Problem Statement Focused on AI Innovation
The hackathon challenged participants to develop an AI-based fact-checking engine capable of handling key components such as claim extraction, real-time evidence retrieval, and accuracy reporting. The problem statement was designed to test not only technical proficiency but also the ability to create practical, real-world solutions.
IMS Noida students stood out by demonstrating strong innovation, technical expertise, and impactful problem-solving approaches. Their solutions impressed the judging panel, helping them secure top positions in a highly competitive environment.
Top Winning Teams from IMS Noida
Team “Stack Sprinters,” comprising Mudit Tyagi and Shubh, secured the first position. The team was awarded a trophy along with a cash prize of ₹25,000 for their exceptional performance.
The second position was claimed by Team “Jha Himanshu,” consisting of Himanshu Jha, Shivkant Mishra, and Nitin Prakash. They received a trophy along with a cash prize of ₹15,000.
The dual victory marked a significant achievement for IMS Noida, showcasing the institution’s strong emphasis on innovation and technical excellence.
