IMS Design and Innovation Academy (IMS-DIA), Noida, celebrated Christmas with enthusiasm and festive spirit at its Sector-62 campus, with active participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The celebration reflected the values of joy, harmony, creativity, and social responsibility, aligning the spirit of the festival with meaningful messages for society and the environment.

The campus was filled with festive cheer as students and faculty came together to mark the occasion through cultural programmes, creative activities, and collective celebrations. Along with festivities, students also used the platform to spread awareness on important social issues, appealing for car pooling, road safety, recycling, environmental protection, and cleanliness. The initiative highlighted the institution’s emphasis on combining celebrations with civic consciousness and sustainable practices.
Addressing the gathering at the start of the programme, IMS Noida Director General Professor (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan extended Christmas greetings to everyone present. He said that Christmas is not just a festival of celebration but also a reminder of values such as love, compassion, and goodwill towards others. He emphasised that the festival inspires individuals to work for the welfare of society and to strengthen bonds of mutual respect and harmony.
Dean of IMS-DIA Professor (Dr.) MKV Nair, while sharing his message, said that the institution’s objective goes beyond academic excellence and is closely linked to fostering positive social change and creative development. He stated that the life and message of Santa Claus symbolise selflessness and generosity, values that should inspire everyone to contribute towards building a happier and more inclusive society. He urged students to channel their creativity in ways that benefit not only their personal growth but also the community at large.


Vice President of IMS-DIA Chirag Gupta, in his address, said that Christmas should be seen as more than a festive occasion. He described it as an opportunity to reflect on social and environmental responsibilities. Emphasising the role of youth, he said that young people must engage with innovation while remaining deeply connected to social concerns. He called upon students to adopt social responsibility, creative thinking, and human values in their lives, and to actively participate in building a positive, sensitive, and sustainable society.
The cultural segment of the celebration added vibrancy to the event. Meetu Chaudhary, Head of the Cultural Club at IMS Noida, said that students participated enthusiastically in carol singing, cultural performances, and creative activities. Performances featuring singing, dance, and music captivated the audience and added colour and energy to the celebration. The students’ performances reflected both festive joy and artistic expression, showcasing their talent and teamwork.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, during which students exchanged greetings and shared messages of brotherhood, unity, and mutual respect. The celebration reinforced the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie among students, faculty, and staff, leaving the campus resonating with warmth and positivity.
The Christmas celebration at IMS-DIA once again highlighted the institution’s commitment to holistic education, where academic learning is complemented by cultural engagement, social awareness, and ethical values. Through such events, IMS-DIA continues to encourage students to grow as responsible citizens who are creative, socially conscious, and sensitive to the needs of society and the environment.
