Greater Noida, January 21, 2026:
The road safety campaign launched by the Greater Noida Authority continued for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, with officials reiterating that road safety-related works will remain an ongoing priority even after the conclusion of the three-day drive. The campaign was undertaken to make road movement safer and to reduce the risk of accidents at vulnerable locations across the city.
The three-day road safety drive was initiated on the directions of Greater Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer N G Ravi Kumar. The campaign officially concluded on Wednesday, but authority officials emphasised that measures related to road safety would continue to be implemented on a regular basis.

Eight Teams Deployed Across the City
As part of the campaign, teams from all eight work circles of the authority’s project department were deployed across different sectors of Greater Noida. Under the leadership of General Manager A K Singh, the teams carried out extensive field inspections and executed road safety works based on site-specific requirements.
Throughout the campaign, the teams identified accident-prone zones, black spots, and sensitive road stretches where immediate intervention was required. On the third day alone, 16 such locations were identified and addressed with targeted safety measures.
Road Safety Works Undertaken
According to officials, the road safety measures carried out during the drive included road patch work, lane marking, installation of rumble strips, and placement of reflectors to improve visibility, particularly during night-time and low-light conditions. At several black spots, additional lighting arrangements were also made to enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians.
General Manager A K Singh said that even on the final day of the campaign, all eight teams remained actively engaged in executing safety-related works at identified locations. “Our teams focused on those stretches that are more vulnerable to accidents. Immediate corrective steps were taken to minimize risks,” he said.

On-Ground Inspection by Senior Officials
In addition to supervising the teams, A K Singh personally inspected a 130-metre road stretch to assess the effectiveness of existing safety arrangements. During the inspection, he directed officials to further strengthen safety measures by installing additional reflectors, cat’s eyes, and improving lighting wherever required.
He stressed that road safety is a continuous process and not limited to a fixed-duration campaign. “Although the three-day drive has formally concluded, work related to strengthening road safety infrastructure will continue without interruption,” he said.
Additional Locations Identified in Greater Noida West
The authority also received inputs from NEFOWA, which identified several locations in Greater Noida West that require road safety interventions. A K Singh confirmed that the authority will take necessary steps to improve safety at these locations as well.
Officials stated that the feedback from residents’ associations and stakeholders plays an important role in identifying potential hazards, and such inputs will be incorporated into future road safety planning.

Road Safety Remains a Priority
Reiterating the authority’s commitment, A K Singh said road safety remains a top priority for the Greater Noida Authority. He assured residents that even after the completion of the special campaign, routine inspections and safety improvement works would continue across the city.
He also appealed to residents to actively participate by informing the authority about accident-prone or unsafe locations in their areas. To facilitate this, the authority has released mobile numbers of work circle in-charges so that citizens can directly report issues related to road safety.
