The Greater Noida Authority carried out a decisive operation on Thursday against illegal construction and encroachment in the flood-prone area of Tughlpur, freeing nearly 40,000 square meters of land from unauthorized occupation. The authority’s action emphasizes strict enforcement in notified areas and aims to prevent any construction in environmentally sensitive flood zones. This operation, executed in coordination with the local police and the land records department, reflects the Authority’s commitment to uphold law and order and to safeguard public land from illegal activities.

Bulldozer Action Against Illegal Colonization in Flood Zone
Certain developers, known as colonizers, had attempted to establish unauthorized colonies in the flood-prone areas of Tughlpur, specifically on khasra number 703 and adjacent plots. Despite clear directives from the National Green Tribunal prohibiting any construction in flood zones, these colonizers were attempting to lure residents into investing in illegal settlements.
Under the supervision of CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar, teams from the Authority’s Project Department and Land Records Department conducted a planned demolition operation. The action began at approximately 9:00 AM and lasted for about two hours, utilizing 7 JCB machines and 3 dumpers to demolish the illegal structures.

The team, led by OSD Land Records Ramnayan Singh, Project Department GM A.K. Singh, Work Circle-4 officer Rajesh Kumar, and senior managers Nagendra Singh and Narottam Singh, ensured the operation was carried out efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with legal and administrative procedures. Following the operation, the freed land was brought under the Authority’s direct control.
ACE0 Sumit Yadav issued a stern warning that anyone attempting to undertake construction in notified areas without proper approvals or sanctioned plans would face strict legal action. The Authority also appealed to the public to verify all property transactions and approvals through the Authority before making any purchase to avoid falling into the trap of illegal colonizers and protect their hard-earned investments.

Legal Enforcement and Removal of Encroachments
Prior to the demolition, the Authority had issued multiple notices to the colonizers, demanding the removal of encroachments. Despite repeated warnings, no compliance was observed. Consequently, the Authority decided to take direct action.
The operation involved meticulous planning and coordination. The team assessed the illegal structures and executed the demolition in a controlled manner, ensuring there were no accidents or unnecessary damage. The action successfully removed all unauthorized constructions and returned the land to the Authority’s possession.
OSD Land Records Ramnayan Singh cautioned the colonizers that any future attempts to construct in flood zones or other notified areas would result in demolition as well as legal action. The Authority made it clear that immediate action would be taken against any reports of encroachment or illegal construction, sending a strong message that law and regulations must be respected.

Through this operation, the Authority successfully freed 40,000 square meters of land, reducing the risk of future illegal colonies in the flood-prone area. The public was urged to always verify the legitimacy of land purchases through the Authority and report any suspicious activities or encroachments immediately. Awareness and vigilance, combined with timely action, are crucial in preventing illegal constructions and preserving flood-prone areas.
The demolition demonstrated the importance of coordination between Authority officials and the local police. The operation was carried out with modern equipment, technical precision, and a strong organizational plan to ensure efficiency and safety. All officials involved actively participated, issuing strict warnings to the colonizers while maintaining law and order.
This action clearly establishes that no individual or group can illegally construct in Greater Noida Authority’s notified areas. The Authority has confirmed that it will continue to monitor all sensitive areas and respond immediately to any encroachments or illegal constructions in the future.

The operation also sends a clear message to the public that construction in flood zones without legal approval is strictly prohibited. With timely intervention, strict enforcement, and effective public awareness, the Authority aims to maintain the integrity and safety of all its notified areas.
The Tughlpur operation underscores the Authority’s commitment to the rule of law and demonstrates that prompt, coordinated action with police support can effectively prevent illegal construction and safeguard public land.
