Location: Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh

— Demolition carried out in Haibatpur floodplain and Chipiyana Khurd
— Sixth major action in the last 16 days
— Zero tolerance against illegal constructions in notified areas

Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Authority continues its strict action against illegal constructions and encroachments in the notified area. On Friday, the Authority conducted a demolition drive in the flood-prone area of Haibatpur village and in Chipiyana Khurd, reclaiming more than 9,000 square metres of encroached land.

In Haibatpur, illegal constructions at Shivam Enclave in the floodplain zone were demolished, freeing approximately 7,000 square metres of land. This marks the sixth major anti-encroachment action within the past 16 days, reinforcing the Authority’s resolve against unauthorised development.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority has directed the Project Department to continue the campaign against illegal construction and land grabbing with full strictness across the notified area.

The Additional Chief Executive Officer stated that any construction undertaken without prior permission or without an approved layout plan in the notified area is illegal and will face strict enforcement action. The public has been advised not to be misled by illegal colonisers and to verify land ownership and approvals with the Authority’s Land Records Department before making any purchase.

The Project Department informed that the demolition in Haibatpur was carried out in compliance with directions issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT). Illegal boundary walls, residential structures and sewer lines constructed on land bearing Khasra numbers 209, 210 and 212 were completely removed.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Work Circle-1 in-charge, with support from managers, assistant managers, technical supervisors and field staff. Three JCB machines, three dumpers and the Authority’s police force were deployed during the operation.

Additionally, in Chipiyana Khurd, illegal houses and boundary walls constructed over approximately 2,000 square metres of land in Khasra number 59 were demolished.

The Authority further stated that during the last 16 days, demolition actions have been taken at six locations, including Bhanauta, Haibatpur, Rohillapur and Kheda Chauganpur, where illegal flats and structures were sealed or removed.

The Greater Noida Authority reiterated that strict action against unauthorised constructions will continue to ensure planned and lawful development in the notified area.
