Greater Noida, February 28, 2026: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has announced revised water supply timings in the city on the occasion of Holi. According to an official press release issued by the Authority, the water supply schedule will be temporarily modified on March 4, 2026, in view of the festival.
As per the notification, potable water will be supplied in two phases on Holi. In the morning, water will be available from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM. The second phase of supply will be provided in the afternoon from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Authority clarified that apart from these scheduled timings on the festival day, water supply on other days will continue as per the normal routine.
The decision to alter the water supply schedule has been taken to ensure efficient management of water resources during the festival. Holi, known for its extensive use of water during celebrations, often results in increased demand across residential sectors. By clearly defining supply hours, the Authority aims to streamline distribution and minimize inconvenience to residents.
The press release further stated that in case of special circumstances where there is additional demand for water, alternative arrangements can be made through water tankers. Residents facing urgent requirements may request tanker supply to meet their needs. For this purpose, the Authority has provided contact details of concerned officials responsible for water management.
Vinod Kumar, Senior Manager (Water), can be contacted at 9205691408. Manoj Kumar, Assistant Manager (Water), is available at 8937024017. Additionally, Sunit Kumar, Assistant (Water), can be reached at 9910920080. Residents are advised to coordinate directly with these officials in case of emergency requirements or to arrange tanker-based water supply.
The Authority emphasized that tanker services will be deployed as an alternative solution only in exceptional situations where demand exceeds normal supply capacity. Citizens have been urged to use water judiciously during the festival and avoid wastage.
In its concluding note, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority reiterated the importance of water conservation. The release carried a message highlighting the significance of water as a vital resource: “Water is life. Save water in the national interest; it cannot be created.” The message serves as a reminder to residents to celebrate the festival responsibly while keeping sustainability in mind.
The official communication was issued from the Authority’s office located at Plot No. 1, Knowledge Park-IV, Greater Noida, District Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The Authority’s website (www.greaternoidaauthority.in) and official email ID(authority@gnida.in) were also mentioned in the notice for public reference and further information.
The revised water supply schedule applies specifically to March 4, 2026, on account of Holi celebrations. Regular supply patterns will resume immediately afterward. Residents are encouraged to plan their water usage according to the announced timings to avoid inconvenience.
With Holi being one of the most widely celebrated festivals in the region, authorities have taken proactive measures to balance festive requirements with resource management. By informing the public in advance and providing emergency contact details, GNIDA aims to ensure smooth water distribution throughout the day.
The Authority has appealed to all residents of Greater Noida to cooperate with the administration and make conscious efforts toward water conservation. Proper planning and responsible use of water during festivals can help maintain adequate supply levels for the entire community.
