Greater Noida Authority has accelerated large-scale development works across the city to strengthen infrastructure and improve traffic management. The authority has issued tenders worth nearly ₹43 crore for 39 major development projects covering roads, drainage systems, electricity infrastructure, parks, rural development, and public amenities. These projects are aimed at addressing growing urban challenges and improving civic facilities for residents across Greater Noida.
Among all the announced projects, the construction of a new U-turn on the 130 Meter Road near Tilpata roundabout is being considered one of the most important traffic improvement initiatives. The project is expected to provide major relief to commuters travelling between Greater Noida and Greater Noida West, where traffic congestion has become a daily issue due to increasing vehicular movement and rapid urban expansion.
According to officials, the new U-turn will be developed before the Tilpata roundabout on the 130 Meter Road. At present, this stretch witnesses heavy traffic pressure throughout the day, especially during office hours. Long queues of vehicles and traffic bottlenecks often create delays and inconvenience for daily commuters travelling between residential sectors and commercial areas.
The proposed U-turn is expected to improve vehicle movement and reduce congestion at Tilpata Chowk significantly. Authorities estimate that the construction work may take around 3 months to complete. With the growing number of residential projects and the steady rise in population in Greater Noida and Greater Noida West, the authority is focusing on strengthening traffic infrastructure to ensure smoother and safer connectivity.
Under the directions of CEO NG Ravi Kumar, several departments have been instructed to speed up civic development works related to roads, electricity, water supply, sewer systems, and landscaping. Multiple infrastructure projects have been included in the newly issued tenders to improve both urban and rural areas.
These projects include construction of access roads, platforms, and rooms at the Haldoni cremation ground. Repair and covering of drains along with CC road repairs in Badalpur have also been planned. In addition, resurfacing of internal roads in Knowledge Park-1 and construction of boundary walls, sheds, platforms, and waiting rooms at the Roza Jalalpur cremation ground are part of the development package.
The authority will also renovate the shopping complex in Sector P-3 Builders Area and install grass paver blocks on both sides of the 24-meter-wide road in the same sector. These works are aimed at improving the functionality, appearance, and durability of urban infrastructure while enhancing public convenience.
Special attention has also been given to rural regions and farmer-populated sectors. Road resurfacing, drain cleaning, and repair works will be carried out in farmer residential plots in Surajpur. Similarly, resurfacing of roads and installation of interlocking tiles from Naton Ki Madhiya to SK Road have also been included in the project list.
The authority is simultaneously working on strengthening educational infrastructure in rural areas. Science laboratories will be established in villages including Chipiyana Buzurg, Haibatpur Achheja, Milk Lachhi, Vaidpura, Sunpura, Shyorajpur, Dhoom Manikpur, Roopwas, Kailashpur, Dadupur, Dankaur, and several other villages. Officials believe this initiative will help improve science education and provide better learning opportunities to students in rural regions.
Development of parks and green spaces is another important component of the new projects. In Sector JU-2, grass, trees, and plants will be planted in all parks along with maintenance work for the next 2 years. Beautification and landscaping activities are expected to improve environmental conditions and enhance the quality of life for residents.
In Ecotech-10, electrification work and installation of LED street lights will also be undertaken. Similarly, new LED street lights will be installed on SK Road from Kasna to Sirsa Rotary while old street lights will be removed. These projects are expected to improve visibility, road safety, and security during nighttime.
Apart from this, Jaitpur-Vaishpur village will be developed as an ideal village through the integration of water supply pipelines and renovation of pump houses. These works are expected to strengthen water infrastructure and improve civic services in rural areas.
General Manager AK Singh stated that the tender process for all projects is expected to be completed within 1 month. Following this, development works will begin and efforts will be made to complete them within the stipulated timeline.
The large-scale development campaign initiated by the Greater Noida Authority is being viewed as a significant step toward improving urban infrastructure, traffic systems, and public facilities across the city. The new U-turn on the 130 Meter Road, along with several civic improvement projects, is expected to provide long-term benefits to lakhs of residents in Greater Noida and nearby areas.
