Noida, December 22, 2025:
A grand oath-taking ceremony of the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association (FONRWA) was held on Sunday at the Diamond Banquet premises, marking the induction of its newly elected executive committee. The 21 members of the committee took their oath of office and confidentiality in a formal programme administered by former Governors of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, Kalraj Mishra. During the ceremony, the newly elected members were also presented with their election certificates.

Addressing the gathering, FONRWA President Yogendra Sharma stated that the committee would soon initiate concrete steps to address issues concerning Noida’s Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and the city’s residents. He emphasised the organisation’s commitment to proactive engagement and timely resolution of civic concerns.

Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Dr. Mahesh Sharma lauded FONRWA for its significant role in Noida’s urban development. State Assembly member Surendra Singh Nagar highlighted that the office-bearers of FONRWA have always been prompt in addressing the concerns of RWAs and residents of Noida. Both Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Surendra Singh Nagar, along with other dignitaries, extended their congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected committee.

During the event, retired Colonel Shashi Vaidya, V.S. Nargkoti, Dr. Tarasain Chand, and D.K. Kharbanda were honoured for their contributions. FONRWA General Secretary K.K. Jain expressed gratitude to all attendees and reaffirmed the committee’s dedication to resolving RWA and resident-related issues in Noida.
The ceremony witnessed a notable presence of prominent dignitaries and community representatives, including former Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Women Commission Vimla Batham, former Minister Nawab Singh Nagar, former MLA Satveer Singh Gurjar, along with numerous RWA members, office-bearers of social organisations, and leading citizens of Noida.

The event underscored FONRWA’s ongoing commitment to civic engagement and community development, signalling a proactive approach from the new executive committee towards addressing residents’ concerns, promoting social welfare, and strengthening the network of RWAs across Noida. The participation of senior leaders and community figures highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in urban governance and civic responsibility.
The newly inducted committee, under the leadership of Yogendra Sharma and supported by General Secretary K.K. Jain, has pledged to continue the organisation’s legacy of public service, transparency, and inclusive action, reflecting FONRWA’s pivotal role in Noida’s socio-cultural and civic landscape.
