The scheme is open to candidates aged between 21 and 24 years, with relaxation in the age limit for OBC, SC, and ST candidates. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least Class 10. Those holding ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma certificates, or graduates from non-premier institutions are eligible, provided they are not engaged in full-time employment or formal education. The applicant’s family income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh annually.
This 12-month internship mandates that at least 50% of the period be spent on-site within the company, ensuring substantial industry exposure. Aimed at reaching 1.25 lakh youth in its pilot phase, the program has a long-term target of facilitating internships for one crore young individuals over the next five years.
