Greater Noida:
Citizens must be conscious not only of their rights but also of their duties, as fulfilling one’s responsibilities is true service to the nation. These remarks were made by Additional Chief Executive Officer Sunil Kumar Singh during the Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony organised at the Greater Noida Authority office. On the occasion, all officers and employees also took an oath to uphold the unity of India and the Constitution.

Students from Savitribai Phule Girls Inter College and Kendriya Vidyalaya presented patriotic songs and cultural performances during the programme.
The Republic Day celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag by ACEO Sunil Kumar Singh, followed by the singing of the national anthem. Officers and employees of the authority then took a pledge to uphold national unity and constitutional values.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Greater Noida, commenced the cultural programme with a Ganesh Vandana. This was followed by captivating performances on patriotic songs such as Saubhagya hai ki is punya pavan dhara par humne janm liya, Sujlam Suflam and Mai Teri Chunariya Lehrayi. Students from Savitribai Phule Girls Inter College presented performances on songs including Hind Desh Ke Nivasi Sabhi Jan Ek Hain and Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyara Hai. Through songs and dance, the students showcased the art forms and cultural heritage of various states of India. A student from Savitribai Phule Girls Inter College, Anvesha, recited a poem highlighting the true meaning of freedom.
Addressing the gathering, ACEO Sunil Kumar Singh provided detailed information to students about the national tricolour and appealed to parents to instil a sense of duty towards the nation and society in their children.
ACEO Prerna Singh urged authority employees to work with determination to make Greater Noida a clean, well-planned, strong and unique city. She also outlined the ongoing development projects in Greater Noida under the guidance of Chief Executive Officer N G Ravi Kumar. Both ACEOs credited CEO N G Ravi Kumar for steering the authority out of financial stress.

Officer on Special Duty Abhishek Pathak, OSD Girish Kumar Jha, OSD Mukesh Kumar Singh and PGM Sandeep Chandra also addressed the programme. The event was conducted by OSD Archana Dwivedi.
The ceremony was attended by Greater Noida Employees Association President Sonu Bhardana, along with a large number of officers and employees of the authority.
