The District Magistrate chaired a meeting at the Collectorate auditorium to review the supply and distribution of LPG cylinders, petrol and diesel in the district. Regional sales officers from IOCL, BPCL and HPCL along with officials from the district administration, supply department and representatives of LPG distribution agencies participated in the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to assess the availability of domestic LPG cylinders and fuel supplies and ensure that consumers receive uninterrupted services. Representatives of gas distribution agencies informed the District Magistrate that adequate stock of LPG cylinders is available in the district and petrol and diesel supplies are also functioning normally. Officials clarified that there is no shortage of fuel in the district and consumers should not panic or attempt unnecessary stocking of LPG cylinders. According to guidelines issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, consumers with single bottle LPG connections can book a refill after twenty five days of the previous delivery while consumers with double bottle connections can book refills after thirty days. Officials explained that following these guidelines helps maintain balance in the distribution system and ensures timely delivery to all consumers.

Review of LPG Stock and Distribution System
During the meeting the District Magistrate directed officials to closely monitor LPG and fuel supply across the district. He emphasized that maintaining an efficient and transparent distribution system is a priority for the administration and all agencies must work responsibly to ensure smooth supply. Officials informed that gas agencies in the district are distributing LPG cylinders to consumers according to the prescribed procedures and no disruption has been reported. The District Magistrate also instructed officials to maintain updated records and review distribution data regularly to ensure transparency. Authorities were directed to conduct inspections of petrol pumps and gas agencies from time to time so that any irregularities in the distribution process can be prevented. The administration stressed that coordination between departments and distribution agencies is essential to ensure that consumers receive gas cylinders and fuel without delay.
Instructions for Action Against Black Marketing
The District Magistrate directed officials to strictly enforce the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act 1955. He stated that if any individual is found involved in unauthorized sale or storage of LPG cylinders through illegal sources or intermediaries strict legal action will be taken against those responsible. Petrol pump operators and LPG agency owners were instructed to keep CCTV cameras operational at their premises and maintain updated records of stock and transactions. Officials were also directed to monitor repeated buyers and staff members to ensure that no one is involved in black marketing or irregular distribution practices. Authorities were asked to carry out periodic inspections of petrol pumps and LPG agencies and immediately take action if any violation of rules is detected.
Consumers Advised Not to Believe Rumors
District Supply Officer Smriti Gautam informed that LPG consumers should use only authorized methods for booking gas refills. Consumers can book LPG cylinders through their registered mobile numbers or through the official mobile applications of LPG companies. She advised that cylinders should be received only from authorized distributors or delivery personnel to ensure safe and transparent supply. Citizens were requested not to believe misleading information or rumors circulating on social media regarding LPG or fuel shortages. If any consumer faces issues regarding fuel or LPG supply they should contact the concerned department or authorized agencies for accurate information. The meeting was attended by DCP Central Shakti Mohan Awasthi, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Atul Kumar, District Supply Officer Smriti Gautam, supply inspectors and representatives of petrol pumps and LPG distribution agencies. Officials assured that all departments will continue working in coordination to maintain smooth fuel supply across the district.
