New Delhi:
The national capital is set to witness a grand and historic literary celebration from January 2 to 4, as the much-awaited literary festival “Shabdotsav” is scheduled to take place in Delhi. The three-day mega event will bring together eminent writers, thinkers, artists, scholars, and cultural personalities from across the country, making it one of the most significant literary gatherings ever hosted in the capital.
The prestigious festival will be graced by the presence of several nationally renowned personalities, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Sunil Ambekar. The event will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who will also share her views on the importance of literature and culture in shaping society.
The objective of Shabdotsav is to provide a vibrant platform for Indian literature, culture, and traditions. The festival will feature a rich blend of cultural and literary programs including Bharatanatyam and Kathak dance performances, bhajan evenings, poetry sessions, literary discussions, and a special spiritual segment connected with the Somnath Jyotirlinga, aimed at strengthening cultural and spiritual consciousness.
One of the major highlights of the festival will be the release of more than 40 new books. These publications will cover a wide range of subjects such as literature, culture, history, national thought, contemporary issues, and social concerns. Renowned authors and intellectuals will participate in the book launch sessions, offering literature enthusiasts a unique opportunity for interaction and dialogue.
According to the organizers, Shabdotsav is not merely a literary event but a celebration of India’s intellectual heritage, cultural values, and creative expression. The festival will also serve as a platform for young writers and artists to engage with senior literary figures and gain inspiration from their experiences.
Special sessions will be organized on themes such as the role of literature in nation-building, the contribution of culture to social harmony, and the relevance of Indian values in the modern era. Poetry recitations, cultural evenings, and panel discussions are expected to make the festival intellectually enriching and culturally vibrant.
The organizers stated that the primary objective of Shabdotsav is to reconnect people with literature, encourage meaningful dialogue, and promote India’s rich cultural legacy among the younger generation.
With its unique blend of literature, music, culture, and thought, Shabdotsav 2025 is being regarded as one of the grandest literary festivals ever held in Delhi.
