New Delhi, 21 December 2025:
Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker and Rohini MLA, Vijender Gupta, on Saturday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several key development works across Rohini’s Sector-13 and Sector-8, marking a significant step in enhancing public amenities, infrastructure, and citizen-centric facilities.
Speaking at the event, Gupta emphasised, “Inaugurations are not ceremonies alone; they mark our commitment to timely delivery of public works.” He highlighted that these initiatives are aimed not only at physical infrastructure development but also at improving the overall quality of life for residents across all age groups, particularly senior citizens.
Senior Citizens’ Centres and Park Enhancements
In Sector-13, foundation stones were laid for Senior Citizens’ Recreation Centres at Navshakti Apartment, Shanti Apartment, and Surya Apartment. These centres are designed as dedicated community spaces to promote social interaction, wellness, recreation, and a dignified lifestyle for senior citizens.
On the same day, Gupta inaugurated a newly constructed Gazebo Hut in the park located behind Hill Apartment and Kenra Apartment in Sector-13. The gazebo is intended to provide a comfortable and inviting space for residents, particularly senior citizens and families, to relax, interact, and enjoy the park environment.
Roads and Water Infrastructure Upgrades
In Sector-8, the Speaker laid the foundation stone for the construction of two RMC roads in Pocket F-18, a project aimed at enhancing road durability, traffic flow, and commuter safety. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for the replacement of the water pipeline in Pocket B-6, which is expected to improve water supply reliability and efficiency for local residents.
Addressing residents and representatives of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), Gupta stated, “Development in Rohini is not limited to physical infrastructure alone. It is about improving the quality of life, ensuring convenience, dignity, and well-being for every citizen—be it senior citizens, families, or the younger generation.” He underscored that robust road networks, reliable water supply, well-maintained parks, and dedicated community spaces together form the backbone of a well-planned and humane urban environment.
Focus on Results-Oriented Governance
Gupta highlighted that today’s multiple inaugurations and foundation stone ceremonies demonstrate a results-oriented approach, where planning is closely followed by visible execution on the ground. He noted that initiating several projects across different sectors in a single day reflects the government’s commitment to timely implementation and coordinated development within Rohini.
Residents and community members present at the occasion expressed appreciation for the continuous development initiatives, noting that these projects will have a tangible and positive impact on daily life in the constituency.
Reiterating his vision, Vijender Gupta affirmed his ongoing commitment to comprehensive development in Rohini, stating that citizen-centric infrastructure projects will continue to be prioritised in the times ahead.
This series of initiatives underscores the Delhi government’s focus on creating a modern, inclusive, and well-connected urban environment in Rohini while addressing the needs of its diverse population.
