Noida, 20 December 2025:
Sunrise Learning Foundation, Noida successfully organized its 11th Annual Special Sports Festival 2025 on Saturday at Sarvottam International School, Techzone, Noida Extension. The grand event witnessed participation from over 1,200 differently-abled children and youth from 34 schools and special centres, ranging in age from 3 to over 30 years. The participants included individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, and intellectual developmental challenges, who showcased exceptional confidence, courage, and skills on the sports field, proving that ability surpasses any challenge.
Participants from Delhi-NCR, as well as from Meerut, Agra, and Aligarh, competed in a variety of sports, including athletics, cycling, wheelchair races, kick the ball, shoot the basket, shot put, and roller skating. The festival awarded a total of 2,657 medals, comprising 937 gold, 888 silver, and 832 bronze medals. In addition, all participants received certificates and refreshments.

The success of the event was supported by more than 400 volunteers from 14 colleges and companies, who provided guidance, assistance, and encouragement throughout the day.
The festival was graced by chief guests Madan Chauhan, former Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Mahesh Saxena, General Secretary of Noida Lok Manch. Special guest Pandit Sahitya Kumar Chanchal, former gazetted officer and national poet, added further prestige to the occasion.
The sports festival commenced with a torch-lighting ceremony and a grand welcome parade led by the founding team. Founding trustee Dr. Sonali Kataria Sirohi, Treasurer Dr. Ajay Sirohi, and Director Charu Singh were present, enhancing the dignity and significance of the event.
For the sixth consecutive year, Sarvottam International School served as the venue partner, with Director-Principal Dr. Priyanka Mehta playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the festival.
The 11th Annual Special Sports Festival was not only a celebration of the achievements of differently-abled athletes but also a strong step towards building an inclusive society and fostering a compassionate and sensitive India.
