Noida, December 16, 2025: Bharat Vikas Parishad Noida organised a grand and spiritually vibrant Kalash Yatra on Tuesday, marking the formal beginning of the Bhagwat Katha celebrations in the city. The procession witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees and residents, with around 750 women carrying sacred kalash and taking part in the religious ceremony with devotion and discipline.

The Kalash Yatra began with traditional rituals, including the worship of Bhagwat Ji and the kalash, accompanied by continuous chanting of mantras. The chief hosts ceremonially placed Bhagwat Ji on their heads and led the procession, symbolising reverence and faith. The yatra was marked by colourful tableaux, bands, and the rhythmic beats of traditional nagadas, creating a festive and devotional atmosphere as it passed through various parts of the city.
Before the formal commencement of the Bhagwat Katha, the procession undertook a Nagar Parikrama, during which residents welcomed the yatra with great enthusiasm. Flower petals were showered along the route, and arrangements for refreshments were made at several locations. Local residents extended warm hospitality by welcoming and felicitating members of the organising committee participating in the yatra. The entire city resonated with devotional songs, dance and chants, reflecting collective joy and spiritual fervour.
Through the Kalash Yatra, the organisers conveyed a message to the public to participate in large numbers in the Bhagwat Katha scheduled to begin from the following day. Devotees were invited to listen to the sacred discourse delivered by Acharya Mridu Krishna Shastri and seek spiritual guidance and blessings. The organisers emphasised that the Bhagwat Katha aims to promote moral values, devotion and social harmony among people from all walks of life.
The Kalash Yatra was formally inaugurated by MLA Pankaj Singh along with other eminent citizens of the city. The inaugural ceremony included traditional worship rituals performed jointly with the president of the organisation, Keshav Gangal. The presence of public representatives and respected members of society added significance to the occasion and reflected broad community support for the religious event.
The successful organisation of the Kalash Yatra was attributed to the efforts of the event conveners Sanjay Goyal and Alpesh Garg, who oversaw all arrangements. Their coordination ensured smooth conduct of the procession, crowd management, and logistical support, contributing to the overall success of the event.

Several members of Bharat Vikas Parishad and other volunteers played an active role in the yatra and were present throughout the event. Organisers said the Kalash Yatra not only marked the spiritual beginning of the Bhagwat Katha but also strengthened community bonding and collective participation in cultural and religious traditions. The event concluded peacefully with prayers for harmony, prosperity and spiritual well-being of the city.
Sanjay Bali, one of the organisers, said the overwhelming response from residents reflected the deep-rooted faith and cultural values of the city, adding that such events inspire unity and devotion among the people.
