New Delhi, 14 September : Journalists and litterateurs of 18 Indian languages were honored with ‘Bharatiya Bhasha Samman-2023’ during the Bharatiya Bhasha Samman Diwas program organized by the multilingual news agency Hindusthan Samachar on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. In the programmememe organised at Shivala, Raja Chetsingh Fort of Varanasi, Dr. Narayan Dutt Mishra, resident of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand and chief editor of the popular Sanskrit weekly programmememe ‘Vartavali’ broadcast on DD News, i.e., Doordarshan Delhi, for Hindi, participated in the programmememe organised at Shivala, Raja Chetsingh Fort of Varanasi. Hitesh Shankar, editor of ‘Panchjanya’, Dr. K., senior journalist for Telugu language Vikram Rao, senior journalist Shri Ram Joshi for Marathi, Padmashree Dr. Vishnu Pandya for Gujarati, senior journalist Dr. Bhai Paramjit Singh for Punjabi, Dr. Suman Chandra Das for Bengali, Arun Jyoti Bora for Assamese, and Dilli Ram for Nepali. Dular and Kamal Kishore Khatri of Sindhi were honored. Similarly, senior journalist Kavalam Sasikumar was honoured for Malayalam language, V. Srinivasan for Tamil language, Swati Chandrashekhar and Pannag Raj Ramchandra Rao Kulkarni for Kannada language, Dr. Samanvay Nand for Odia language, and Keshav Mohan Pandey for Bhojpuri language.
Apart from this, two journalists from Hindusthan Samachar, Dr. Sharda Vandana and Gunjan Kumar, were honoured with the ‘Kalamveer’ award.
Hindusthan Samachar Group Launches Special Issues on Indian Languages
During the programme, special issues of Hindusthan Samachar Group’s fortnightly magazine ‘Yugvarta’ and monthly magazine ‘Navotthan’ were also launched. Factual articles by scholars on Indian languages have been published in both of these special issues. During this time, the book ‘Golden Sun’ written by the students of Dalims Sunbeam School was also released. Earlier, senior campaigner of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and former patron of Hindusthan Samachar, Lakshmi Narayan Bhala, while promoting the theme of ‘Panch Pran’ Indian Languages and Prosperous India, said that the Panch Pran is clear from its very wording that the country is first. In such a situation, it is important that the language used plays an important role in making the country prosperous and proud. Explaining the five vows in detail, he said that basically body, life (vitality), mind, intellect, soul… are the five elements through which we can make our full contribution to the development of the country. While reciting the verse Tretayan Mantra-Shaktischa Gyanshakti: Krite-yuge, Dvapare Yudh-shaktischa Sanghaushakti Kalau Yuge, he said that for the development of the country and society, there is a need to be organizationally strong as well. Dr. Pradeep Madhok ‘Baba’, formerly a member of the Board of Directors of Hindusthan Samachar, welcomed the guests.
The vote of thanks was given by Sridhar, the Varanasi bureau chief of the news agency. Students of Dalims Sunbeam Vidyalaya presented welcome songs and Shiva stuti on this occasion.
