New Okhla Industrial Development Authority
Location: Noida
The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA Authority), under the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Executive Officer, is continuously carrying out an extensive and intensive cleanliness drive across the entire Noida region. The primary objective of this drive is to strengthen public sanitation systems, prevent waterlogging, and ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents.
As part of this focused initiative, clear instructions have been issued to ensure daily garbage disposal from all major roads, internal streets, sectors, villages, and main drains. The campaign also emphasizes the removal of floating material from drains and strict implementation of door-to-door waste collection in every sector and village, leaving no area uncovered.

During a surprise inspection conducted on 4 February 2026 in Sector-81, Village Bhura, and Nagla Charandas, large heaps of garbage were found and drains were observed to be in an overflowing condition. The situation was causing inconvenience to local residents and posed serious risks to public health and environmental safety.
Upon examination, it was established that the sanitation contractor deployed in the said areas had failed to discharge assigned duties responsibly. Regular waste disposal was not carried out, and timely cleaning of drains was neglected, reflecting gross negligence on the part of the contractor.
In view of the seriousness of the lapses, a penalty of ₹50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand) has been imposed on M/s Exman Raghav Security Services Pvt. Ltd. Additionally, an explanation has been sought from the concerned Assistant Project Engineer (Public Health) – II to ascertain the reasons behind inadequate supervision.

Further, a strict warning has been issued to the concerned Junior Engineer (Public Health), with directions to ensure that such negligence is not repeated in the future. The Authority has also decided to take immediate action against field-level staff found responsible for the lapse.
Accordingly, the services of three sanitation workers deployed in the affected areas have been terminated with immediate effect. Orders have also been issued for the termination of services of the supervising staff member, Shri Kapil, reinforcing the Authority’s zero-tolerance policy towards negligence in sanitation works.
The NOIDA Authority has reiterated that there will be no compromise on cleanliness and public health. To ensure accountability and transparency, officials and agencies have been instructed to maintain strict monitoring and compliance. Surprise inspections, close supervision, and prompt punitive action will continue in the coming days.
The Authority has also appealed to citizens to actively participate in maintaining cleanliness by avoiding littering in public spaces and promptly reporting sanitation-related issues. With collective efforts, NOIDA aims to emerge as a clean, well-managed, and model city.
