New Delhi, 26 February 2026
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday presented her government’s one-year report card during a ‘Pravas Karyakram’ held in the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Addressing a large public gathering, she stated that the report card is not merely a compilation of statistics but a testament to the government’s commitment to public service, welfare and the vision of a ‘Viksit Delhi’.
On the occasion, North West Delhi MP Yogender Chandolia, New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Moti Nagar MLA Harish Khurana, Malviya Nagar MLA Satish Upadhyay, Greater Kailash MLA Shikha Roy, Kasturba Nagar MLA Neeraj Basoya, Rajendra Nagar MLA Umang Bajaj, former Minister Raj Kumar Anand, former MLA Subhash Sachdeva, District President Virendra Babbar, Ravindra Chaudhary, party office-bearers, workers and a large number of local residents were present.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reiterated that the report card reflects the government’s unwavering dedication to public welfare and development. She said that after a gap of 27 years, the BJP government formed in Delhi has worked to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” by ensuring that essential services reach every assembly constituency and every citizen.
Highlighting key achievements, the Chief Minister informed that nine Atal Canteens have been established in the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency to provide affordable meals to the public. She emphasised that infrastructure development remains a priority, with projects worth approximately ₹135 crore currently underway in the Moti Nagar Assembly segment. These include the construction of a foot overbridge at Kirti Nagar and a bridge over the Najafgarh drain, both progressing steadily.
In the RK Puram Assembly segment, development works worth nearly ₹100 crore are being executed at a rapid pace. Additionally, in nine assembly constituencies, the replacement of old water pipelines is being carried out on a war footing to improve water supply and prevent leakages.
Focusing on urban mobility and traffic management, the Chief Minister announced that Phase-II of the Savitri Flyover in Greater Kailash has been approved to ease congestion and strengthen connectivity. She also informed that an automated multi-level parking facility has been initiated at M-Block to address parking challenges and improve traffic flow in the area.
Taking a critical view of earlier administrations, the Chief Minister stated that the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency had once struggled for basic amenities. Today, she asserted, it is emerging as a leading contributor to the broader goal of a ‘Viksit Delhi’. She emphasised that her government believes in execution and measurable outcomes rather than mere announcements.
Reaffirming her commitment to comprehensive development, the Chief Minister said that the Delhi Government will continue to accelerate infrastructure growth, strengthen civic services and ensure transparent and accountable governance. She expressed confidence that ongoing initiatives will further position New Delhi as a model constituency within the larger vision of building a developed and self-reliant Delhi.
