New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is expected to soon release the provisional answer key for the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to raise objections to the provisional answer key using their credentials.

The written examination was held on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024, in two shifts—10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm—across 1,174 examination centres located in 67 districts. In the first phase of the examination, approximately 28.91 lakh candidates appeared, while an estimated 19.26 lakh candidates were expected to participate in the second phase on August 30 and 31.

To ensure transparency and security during the examination, stringent security measures were in place, including biometric verification through fingerprint and facial recognition.

During the first phase of the exam, over 31.38% of candidates were absent. On the first day alone, about 31.72% of candidates did not attend the exam, as reported by an official from the recruitment board.

The UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam was initially scheduled to take place on February 17 and 18, 2024. However, due to a paper leak, the exam was cancelled. Following this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered a re-examination, ensuring that the recruitment process would be conducted within six months in a transparent manner.

A total of 1,174 examination centres were set up across 67 districts for the retest, with Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) and Additional Superintendents of Police (ASPs) appointed as nodal heads to oversee the process.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding the release of the answer key and any further instructions related to the exam.
