Ranchi, 28 August : union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari shared a picture on social media on Monday regarding the National Highway 33 road. He has said that where earlier it used to take a long time to go from Ranchi to Jamshedpur, now that distance is being covered in just two hours. This is happening only because of the construction of this expressway. The union Minister also shared a picture of greenery, mountains, and rivers all along the road and said that a new joy is being experienced by the people passing through this motorway.
The construction of a four-lane road from Ranchi to Jamshedpur, where at one time it was not possible, has now taken on a completely new look after it has been completed. The construction work on the 165-kilometre road from Ranchi to Jamshedpur-Mahulia has been going on for almost ten years. Madhucon, the agency initially entrusted with its construction, abandoned the work half-way, due to which the project got stuck for years.
The central government later terminated this company. After this, the construction work on this road was started in four packages through NHAI. In this way, the entire road from Rampur to Jamshedpur has become four-lane except for the Rampur section of the Ranchi bypass development. Vehicles are galloping.
