UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call today from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the conversation, the two leaders engaged in discussions regarding the robust bilateral ties between the UAE and Jordan, emphasizing various avenues of cooperation aimed at fostering mutual growth and prosperity.
Expressing his concern for the situation in Jordan, the UAE President extended his prayers for the protection and well-being of the Jordanian people. He reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Kingdom in maintaining its security and stability.
In response, His Majesty King Abdullah II conveyed his appreciation for the UAE President’s sentiments and expressed his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE.
In addition to bilateral matters, the leaders addressed several regional and international issues of mutual concern, notably the situation in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Gaza Strip. They emphasized the urgency of intensifying efforts to secure a ceasefire and to bolster initiatives aimed at alleviating the dire conditions faced by the people of Gaza.
Both leaders underscored the imperative for resolute international action to prevent further escalation of conflicts in the region. Furthermore, they highlighted the necessity of establishing a clear political pathway towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace, anchored on the principles of the two-state solution, to ensure stability and security for all parties involved.
