Noida, December 26, 2025:
In a targeted operation based on local intelligence and confidential information, the Sector-58 Police of Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate arrested two notorious thieves on Thursday in Noida. During the operation, officials recovered one stolen scooter and an illegal knife from the possession of the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Avinash, son of Madan Kumar Sah, and Piyush alias Bittu, son of Yogesh. Police recovered a stolen scooter bearing registration number DL3SFQ4459, which the accused admitted was stolen from Delhi and is registered under FIR No. 13620/2025 at the E-Police Station, Delhi. In addition, an illegal knife was recovered from Piyush alias Bittu.
According to police sources, during interrogation, both accused disclosed that they primarily used the stolen scooter to commit mobile phone thefts and snatching incidents across the region. The duo reportedly executed their crimes with planning and coordination, using the vehicle to quickly evade law enforcement authorities.

Avinash, aged 24, resident of Sitarampur, Sultan Ganj, Bihar, currently at Pusta Par, Phase-2, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Piyush alias Bittu, aged 22, resident of Nagla Dalchand, Mahua Khera, Aligarh, currently at Purana Haibatpur, Bisrakh, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Registered Cases and Criminal History:
The arrests have been recorded under FIR No. 468/2025 at Sector-58 Police Station, Gautam Buddh Nagar, under sections 317(2)/317(5) BNS and sections 4/25 Arms Act. The stolen scooter is linked to FIR No. 13620/2025 at E-Police Station, Delhi.
