A Vyapar Bandhu Meeting was held at the Vikas Bhawan, chaired by Chief Development Officer Shivakant Dwivedi, where several serious and long-pending issues related to traders and local residents of Noida were strongly raised.
Representatives of various trade associations highlighted that the lack of basic civic amenities, growing encroachments, law-and-order concerns, and administrative negligence are severely affecting business activities as well as the daily lives of citizens.
Key Issues and Demands Raised During the Meeting
1. Continuous Jammer Operation at Sector-64 Examination Centre
The 24-hour operation of signal jammers is disrupting e-way bills, billing systems, digital payments, and online business operations.
Additionally, the absence of public toilets creates severe inconvenience, especially for female candidates.
Demand: Jammers should be restricted to examination halls only, and proper women’s toilet facilities must be provided.
2. Missing Drain Slabs from Mamura Power House to Transport Nagar
Open drains due to missing slabs pose a serious accident risk to pedestrians and cattle.
Demand: Immediate restoration of drain slabs.
3. Illegal Encroachment in Sector-71 (WP-11/12/13)
Unauthorised jhuggi settlements are rapidly expanding on commercial land, affecting safety and hygiene.
Demand: Removal of encroachments and securing of land.
4. Parking Chaos in Noida Markets
Unregulated parking is causing daily traffic congestion.
Demand : Development of multi-level parking facilities and a structured traffic system.
5. Revenue Leakage in Iron (Sariya) Transportation
Vehicles are operating without proper documentation.
Demand: Formation of a special enforcement team with strict technical verification.
6. Special Provision for Arms Licenses for Traders
Businesspersons travelling to other states face security risks.
Demand: Priority issuance of arms licenses to eligible traders.
7. Illegal Activities in OYO Hotels
Repeated complaints of drug abuse and anti-social activities have been reported.
Demand: Surprise inspections by STF and strict action.
8. Menace of Stray Dogs in Sector-63A
Increasing attacks on children and senior citizens.
Demand: Immediate dog-catching drive.
9. Monkey Menace in Behlolpur (Sector-63)
Monkeys damaging water tanks and household belongings.
Demand: Special control drive by the Forest Department.
10. Poor Condition of Road from NH-9 to Chhijarsi Roundabout
Deep potholes causing traffic jams and frequent accidents.
Demand: Immediate repair and resurfacing.
11. Need for Foot Over Bridge in Sector-49 (Barola)
Crossing the road is risky due to high dividers.
Demand: Construction of FOB from Hanuman Mandir to Metro Station.
12. Issues in Arya Nagar Market & Sarfabad (Sector-73)
