The Greater Noida Authority (GNA) has taken strict action against illegal construction in its notified areas by sealing eight residential towers on Plot No. 109 in Kheda Chauganpur. The towers comprise over 100 flats and were sealed on Thursday morning by a joint team from the Authority’s Land Records and Project Department. The flats were vacant at the time, ensuring that the operation was carried out safely and efficiently.
NG Ravi Kumar, CEO of Greater Noida Authority, has directed stringent action against all unauthorized constructions in the notified area. He instructed the Land Records and Project Department teams to continuously monitor and take immediate action against violations.
Officials Present During the Operation
The sealing operation was carried out under the supervision of ACEO Sumit Yadav, along with OSD Abhishek Pathak, OSD Ram Nayan Singh, Senior Manager Rajesh Kumar Nim (Work Circle-3), In-Charge Senior Manager Prabhat Shankar, Assistant Manager Rajeev Motla, local police, and GNA security personnel.
The Authority clarified that the land falls within the notified area and the construction was carried out without permission or approved plans. Since no approved map was available, immediate action was deemed necessary to ensure regulatory compliance and public safety.
ACEO’s Warning and Advisory
ACEO Sumit Yadav warned that in the future, any construction in the notified area without proper approval or plan clearance would face immediate action. He also urged the public to verify land or flat purchases with the Authority’s Land Records Department before investing, stating, “Do not risk your hard-earned money in illegal colonies.”
