New Delhi, 03 Sept : The DMK president MK Stalin’s minister son’s statement on Sanatana Dharma demonstrates that the Opposition alliance INDIA hates Hinduism and is a attack on our heritage, union Home Minister Amit Shah said today. Shah was addressing during the opening of the BJP’s Parivartan Yatra in Dungarpur, Rajasthan. In the forthcoming state elections, the BJP is working hard to unseat the ruling Congress and reclaim power. The Home Minister said that Udhayanidhi Stalin’s words were part of the INDIA bloc’s vote bank politics and appeasement strategy. The words by the Home Minister came amid a major uproar over comments made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son, Udhayanidhi.
Udhayanidhi Stalin stated at a meeting in Chennai that Sanatana Dharma is anti-social justice and must be eradicated. He also made a connection between Sanatana Dharma and illnesses like dengue and malaria.
As the words went viral, BJP officials called them a call to genocide, criticized Udhayanidhi Stalin, and questioned whether all INDIA members agreed with the DMK leader’s remarks. In response to criticism, Stalin stated that Sanatana Dharma is a principle that divides people by caste and religion. I have never called for the genocide of people who practice Sanatana Dharma. Uprooting Sanatana Dharma is defending humanity and equality. I stand solid on everything I’ve spoken. I spoke on behalf of the oppressed and marginalized who suffer as a result of Sanatana Dharma, he said.
P Chidambaram’s son, Karti Chidambaram, has endorsed Udhayanidhi Stalin’s views, adding that Sanatana Dharma is nothing but code for a Caste Hierarchical Society. All those vying for it yearn for the Good Ole Days! Caste is India’s curse, he has remarked.
Shah slammed the DMK and the Congress for their statements, saying, Over the past two days, they (INDIA) have insulted this country’s heritage and Sanatana Dharma. Sons of key Congress and DMK politicians are discussing the end of Sanatana Dharma for the sake of vote bank and appeasement politics. The Home Minister also mentioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s 2010 comment that extremist Hindu organisations pose a greater threat than terror organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.
According to Rahul Baba, Hindu organizations are more dangerous than Lashkar-e-Taiba. You compared Hindu organizations to Lashkar-e-Taiba, and your Home Minister said there is ‘Hindu terror’ in the country, Rahul Baba, Shah continued. He was alluding to a comment made by former Home Minister and Congress politician Sushil Kumar Shinde on Hindu terror. Shinde stated that he used the remark during a party gathering in Jaipur but quickly retracted it.
Shah stated during the Rajasthan gathering that Sanatana Dharma rules people’s hearts. They claim that if Modi wins, Sanatana tyranny would arrive. Sanatana is dominating the hearts of the people, he added, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that India would operate in accordance with the Constitution.
Union Home Minister accused Congress of obstructing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, saying, Grand Ram temple will be ready in January at Lord Ram’s birthplace. The INDIA alliance will not be able to stop it. For years, Congress has prevented it.
The Home Minister stated that the yatra, which began today, will traverse 2,500 kilometers in 19 days. It will visit 52 Assembly constituencies, holding 156 small and 54 large meetings. By the time it is finished, the fate of the Ashok Gehlot government will be sealed, he warned.
Shah said that the administration of Ashok Gehlot was corrupt and had failed to safeguard women. Ashok Gehlot’s government is rife with corruption and fails to protect women. Every day, up to 19 incidences of sexual harassment are recorded in the state, he stated.
